Vinyasa Yoga

A moving meditation where we focus on synchronising movements with the breath, increasing overall body, mind and breath awareness, fitness levels, strength and flexibility, whilst benefiting the nervous system and state of consciousness to feel better.

My classes are ‘open Vinyasa’ classes, meaning they are accessible to all levels, with options for everyone from beginners to seasoned yogis, with more poses broken down and some held for slightly longer.

Pregnancy & Post-natal Yoga

Join me for your yoga flows during your pregnancy as well as / or postnatally, to meet your growing needs :)

Laura is fully Pregnancy and Postnatally trained via Yoga Mama London and has a passion for working with women throughout their pregnancies and beyond.

Specifically designed for the pregnant body, you will gain valuable tools as you transition through your second and third trimesters, in preparation for the birthing process and into the fourth Trimester of Motherhood. Classes include all elements of Pancha Kosha, the five energies of BEing: Asana / poses to maintain strength and range of movement, Pranayama / breathwork to replenish your energy body and mood, focusing the mind (Citta/Manas) for calm and equilibrium, leading you into a state of meditation to more fully access your natural intuitive Self (Vijnanamaya) and feel lighter and more spacious within the more whole and blissful Self (Anandamaya) . Pelvic floor exercises, movement for optimising foetal position and breathwork for different needs are also shared.

Yin Yoga

Yin: a slow mainly floor based gentle flow where poses are generally held from two to five minutes, although in time they can be held for longer. In yin we stretch the connective tissue in the body, whilst relaxing the muscles. Stressing the fascia (connective tissue) in this way also stimulates the meridians, the energy pathways running throughout the body, as described in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). To restore, calm, heal and open through the joints, ligaments and tendons, in time and stillness with ‘your’ body as it is presenting in that moment.

Yinyang Yoga

A mixture of vinyasas’ flowing mindful movements to warm, strengthen and energize, followed by slower yin floor-based poses, held for slightly longer, to quieten the mind, whilst encouraging the joints and deep inner tissues to relax and mobilise. A lovely way to balance and restore for a well-rounded class.

Beginners Yoga

As it says on the packet, starting from basics, emphasising correct alignment and muscle engagement to develop safe and strong foundations, within classic yogic principals. For all levels and abilities, adapted to your needs.

‘This is the real secret of life - to be completely engaged in what you are doing in the here and now. And instead of calling it work, realise it is play’. ~ Alan Watts
